How is Kiip different from HMIS?
HMIS is designed to collect and share data about individuals with other homeless service providers, but it excludes individuals from accessing the documents and information stored in the software. As a complement to HMIS, Kiip's two-sided system gives power and autonomy back to the individuals we serve.

Streamline intake
HOPICS staff use Kiip to intake documents from new clients and streamline document collection for databases like HMIS. Clients have access to all documents uploaded through Kiip, even if the original is lost or stolen.
Get document-ready remotely
With Kiip, HOPICS requests documents and forms before meeting with clients in person. With remote form-fill, they can watch real-time progress and help with any questions via built-in chat. This reduces transportation burdens and appointment time.
Making paperwork easier
Instead of struggling to decipher handwriting on critical forms required by homeless service funders like LAHSA, Kiip enables clients and staff to fill and e-sign forms replacing data entry and manual scanning and uploading.
